I don't know, I saw crop duster spraying fields, county/dirt roads out under wind turbines, and a nice scenic mountain view with backpacker/hikers and oil rigs. Might just get another San Andreas style map.

A Jet Fighter, a passenger private style jet, crop duster, and helicopters oh my.

Yeah even if its not full on san andreas, at least some expansion into the countryside from the city is most welcome.

Some natural landscapes is most welcome, what sucks is that they are limited by six year old hardware. I hope they can make the most of it, gta4 was not that big.

If I can recall, the iphone does not support flash. So the ecstatic is shit outta luck on viewing the trailor.

First off, this looks fucking brilliant. R* always smash it with announcing a new GTA.

Now, I'm gonna bet that you play as Tommy Vercetti, from Vice City. The voice over sounds a lot like Ray Liotta, one of the character's visible looks like Vercetti, and the voice over could easily apply to his life; ex criminal, looking to go straight etc.

I'm also guessing that the game will include San Fierro and Las Venturas and surrounding countryside/desert. In the first trailer of San Andreas, they only revealed Los Santos, so it isn't unreasonable to think they'll be in 5. Also, we can see that Mount Chiliad is back, and AFAIR, the mountain was much closer to SF than it was to LS. Also, we can still see large amounts of countryside present.

Jet ski's are in, one of them named the Speedophile.

There seems to be an emphasis on the recession, with the homeless people, and the dude selling his house. This could also mean that property acquiring is back.

Aeroplanes and jets are confirmed, which also adds ground to the game being set in the whole of the state.

From the mission where you're dressed as exterminators, it might seem that R* are bringing in a bit more of the wackier mission of the III trilogy, although the tone does seem to be serious, in comparison to Saints Row.

Well shit, the game does take place in San Andreas again.
I was just reading some "rumored" spoilers and rewatched the trailer.

Noticed the VINEWOOD sign is shown at the end of the trailer and remembered seeing it last night so I just drove by it in GTA3:SA to make sure I wasn't trippin.

Thi8s outfit makes me laugh when I play. Especially beating hoes with dildo or acting all tough around people in cut scenes.

The official Grand Theft Auto 5 trailer is less than a day away, however it looks like someone wanted to ruin the mystery surrounding this highly anticipated title by leaking lost of spoiler regarding the next GTA installment – whether this is in fact accurate is hard to tell, so keep reading if you don’t mind discovering some potential spoilers.

Apparently the game is once again set in San Andreas, this time in 2012, you start the game in Los Santos on your rival’s turf after getting robbed and beaten up, the character you play is Hispanic and called Adrian. This time round the game revolves massively around money, there will be the same cities from GTA San Andreas, but a lot bigger and more detailed.

In terms of gameplay you can expect an improved cover system and much smoother movement, when driving there will be 9 radio stations to tune into and there will be car modding. It is also worth knowing that if you manage to rack up a 5 star wanted level the National Guard will be called in.

Throughout the game we are told that decisions you make have a much larger effect on the story, there are said to be 4 different endings, two of which are good, the others bad. Massive spoilers: We are told that some (or perhaps all) endings will result in your character, Adrian, dying, but you then get to play as his brother.

If you are looking to play multiplayer game modes on Xbox Live / PSN we are told that there will be support for up to 32 players, entirely new game modes and co-op story – we’re not sure how many players can partake in the game’s co-op story mode.

Lots of information has leaked regarding the PC version of the game, apparently this time round the game has been optimized for PC much more than GTA 4 was, there will also be support for 64 player multiplayer and dedicated servers. It also looks like the PC version of GTA 5 will launch at the same time as the console variants.

Some other things we should quickly list include: Gang wars will take place in the game, also each gang will have their own graffiti and you can tag stuff with custom sprays and expect more girlfriends, parachutes and fun cheats.

There you go folks that’s everything we know so far (thanks to BotchWeed). As previously mentioned we don’t know how legit this info is, so don’t take it too seriously for now, the person who leaked the details claims that tomorrows trailer will last 1min 4 seconds and will give us a glimpse of the city, there will no real action. If this information regarding the trailer is confirmed tomorrow when it officially arrives we have no reason to believe that rest of the leak is a hoax.

One problem I've always had with GTA is that the main characters are too morally grounded.  I can't recall any GTA where the main character does or sells drugs, for example.

Yeah they slaughter all those people, do all that crime, but refuse to sell or do drugs.  Killing people in video games is old news, I mean it's fun, but how many video games can you play and kill people?  Every FPS comes to mind immediately.  Did you play the same San Andreas and GTA: IV I did?  Hell, Tommy Vercetti in Vice City wouldn't sell drugs and it was the fucking 1980s!!!!!

I just can't see modern criminal enterprising without drug profiteering somewhere in the mix.

There have been rumors of multiple playable characters. The homeless guy sure looks like Nico and the voice sounds like Tommy V... could be a shot of him 20 years older. CJ is tough because he looked how you wanted him to look.
