out in the canadian bush, bear grylls is an insult.


also, don't even try to compare this fool with steve irwin. the crocodile hunter was a man among men, and was amazing at what he did--remember, it wasn't those 20ft crocodiles that did him in, but a common stingray--and only because it got him in the fucking heart--and even then, it's thought his act of immediately ripping this barbed spike out of his chest is what finally did him on. Steve wasn't done in by getting in over his head--it's the equivalent of the mistletoe dart used to kill baldr that took him down

Bear Grylls may have a crew and all that, and as far as his tactics being practical to an everyday person...well most wont do what he does. But the man was in the British SAS. They are some bad motherfuckers man, look up their training. I think he would do alright in your neck of the woods. Steve Irwin was the shit. But you play with wild animals enough, your most likely going to get "bit", if you know what Im saying. What would you do to somebody coming into your home and grabbing all over you? ya it was a stingray but it could have been any animal.

Bear is am total phoney, he shoots his shit after a heli drop with a full cam crew and back up team and shit Les Stroud is way better does the shit solo if he wants a shot of him climbing a cliff face he sets the camera, presses record, climbs the shit then climbs back to get the camera and then climbs back to where he was to continue making his shit and continue the journey, if he fucks up he is dead, if Bear fucks up he might forget the room service speed dial number and his credit card chip and pin code

that's because the shit he does is stupid and would get people killed, he's
not teaching survival, he's teaching people to aid evolution along, I watched
one of his shows where he's in a jungle and to get down a cliff face he
climbs down by putting his foot between a long root and the cliff, sure,
doesnt sound that dumb until you realize that bear get's lowered down on
ropes and doesnt actually use that method himself in real life survival
situations.... why? because a slight slip can leave you with a broken ankle
and dangling upside down with an 80 foot drop, even if you just broke the
ankle you'd be fucked, even if you're just hanging upside down without a
broken ankle, you're fucked


his show is about entertainment and nothing more, why climb down the cliff
when you can simply walk down the hill 20 yards from where you can climb,
yeah, bear doesnt show you the walking down the hill part, know why?
because people wont sit at home saying "wow, that's incredible" or if they
have a clue, "wow, that's incredibly stupid" may as well watch wrestling,
it's twice as real as bear grylls

I always liked "Bush Tucker Man" from Aussie land when i was a kid he used to eat any shit but then Ray Mears done the other style, he doesn't just survive, he moves in as if he was planning staying for good with no sign of rescue and starts by making a 3 course meal and a "Swiss Family Robinson" style mini home from home and when his food is cooking he knocks up some cuttlery and plates and shit, you leave that fucker long enough you would come back and he'd have monkey butlers
