Combining Opposites
    #1494998 -

Combining Opposites is the secret to eternal life.

--------------------
The best way to live
is to be like water
For water benefits all things
and goes against none of them
It provides for all people
and even cleanses those places
a man is loath to go
In this way it is just like Tao        ~Daodejing

Fire and kittens... nope that's a bad combo.

A diseased corpse and a vibrant, perfectly healthy virus free person.. nope.

people who never ever kill anybody and people who kill EVERYBODY.

man, these just aren't working dude.

Nice try

soon, we'll be able to reproduce asexually. we will come full circle, as evolution didn't start with two.

And Asexual means having male and female reproductive organs which are the opposites

no it doesn't have to involve sex at all, you're thinking about hermaphrodites.
asexual reproduction would be cell division, or cloning.

yea ur right.

But if you decide to go hook up with the same sex then your name and etc will die sooner or later. If you combine the opposites then you may have eternal life for your name, genes, etc... does that make sense?

The same thing happens in Interbreeding. The cells and genes may be closer to the original copy, but they are weaker. same thing happens with mushrooms.

so yes you would have to combine "opposites" to have "eternal life" (evolution/survival of the fitest?).

Try combining some opposites... you may feel like shit for a while and you may lose your head a bit.

the way humans are engineered now, you need one male gamete and one female gamete to begin cell division. or splicing to create the BABY. if all humans developed simmilar orifices and had genes capable of individual self division. than yes i think we could have our own babies.

but that brings me to think thats why cloning wont work, they arent strengthening the cell, they are going by the same means which it took to get that person, but without fusing the original two seperate sex cells. so the division is only half as good. notice the rapid deterioration of cloned animals. i think before true "cloning" is to work, the DNA has to be ready to clone itself. but as far as evolution is concerned making clones in the way we understand "Clones" in this case would be evolutionaly disaterous. you would have millions of the same people who only knew what the people before them knew. I.E. no new genetic material to carry out the demands of natural selection for new obstacles and new environmental changes.

its on a system of checks in balances. not till all of those are known can we begin to toy with our genes. and im sure if by the time we figure that out, our search for those answers will become pointless, or our genes will have already made the changes overriding the need to try and "toy" with what is already "perfect".

i dont see how some half ass scientific research and tests can be done in 20 years expect to be poping out copy cat Alphas and Deltas. Not enough is known on how our DNA operates, nor how close humans are to a new stage in human evolution.

You call these opposites? hmm.. interesting...

christians and guns

You CAN'T be serious? You consider one of the biggest downfalls of mankind (no offense to any Christians out there.. it's not YOUR fault), and a piece of mechanics used to kill people opposites? Where can *I* get some of that hoobiejooba you're smokin'?

No one knows the worth of innocence till he knows it is gone forever, and that money can't buy it back. Not the saint, but the sinner that repenteth, is he to whom the full length and breadth, and height and depth, of life's meaning is revealed. Good and evil loose all objective meaning and are seen as equally necessary and contrasting elements in the masterpiece that is the universe.
