didn't know infected mushroom was necessarily considered goa :shrug: i like them but their music just didn't hold my interest for very long

Early infected mushroom has a good goa sound, but it changed over the years.

Muses Rapt has always been one of my favourite goa producers. His track 'spiritual healing' still holds the title of my favourite track.



Check out the Official Psytrance thread, it has lots of psytrance styles, including goa!

If you want one of the best series of Goa trance on the internet, check out PsycloneD's "This is Goa Trance" on youtube. All of the videos in the whole series are amazing, I think he has 75 up now.

Shiva, I didn't know that you liked The Muses Rapt. They have such a distinct sound to them that I absolutely love. Spiritual Healing is probably also my favorite goa trance track, because it is the song that really got me into the genre. The way it builds up, and just his use of sounds that you don't typically hear or expect are amazing.

I wish he would do more ambient stuff, like the song "the ancient sounds of the god" because that song is also absolutely amazing.

Yea, that classic goa sound is right up there with blistering insane forest music, when it comes to my favourite sounds within the psytrance spectrum.

He still plays parties these day, no? That would be an act I would travel for. I've only ever been to one party dedicated to goa (filteria was the headliner) and it remains one of the best psyparties I've been witness to.

I believe he still does parties and stuff, as he put out a CD just 3 years ago. Filteria would be great to see as well.

Psytrance I have never been too crazy for, goa just has that more old school sound and appeal for me. I will definitely have to check out the psytrance thread though.

Old Astral Projection is always good. Look for the track Mahadeva. There's lots of good newschool coming out of Suntrip records, like Afgin.
