There is  alot of good Psy out there, but after listening to www.di.fm for a while I've realized there is alot more better goa than there is good psychedelic, so I vote Goa. :headbang:

It really depends on which mood I am in. But mostly Buttrock Goa is good for any occasion. :smile:

Heard of Alien Project? They're the most psychedelic cd I have, I love it more and more everytime I listen to it, but only really like to listen to it when I'm tripping or on a bus ride/train ride to some place with big earcovering earphones.
Some of the psychedelic stuff can just get too over bored and meaningless, but goa always works and always has sounds that always work.

As I understand it, Psy trance always feels a little...um...colder and mechanical.
But only by a small margin.

Either was I man, i was a total guitar freak, just take some time and actually LISTEN. Trance is like English, one language but many dialects, once you come to "understand" the language of trance it opens up  seemingly unlimited vistas of new musical expression :smile:

All Im saying is if theres a poll there should be a response that everyone can respond to. Everyone should have an opinion in a poll and there isnt a choice for people that dont like trance.

I have listened to a few trance records at my friends house and I really didnt dig it. I dont know if it was only one kind or the other kind. I dont really like eletronic music. Besides some orb or tosca evey once in a while when im trippin. heh.

I have a trance cd that I listened to once and didnt ever touch it again. I will give it to someone if they send me the two bucks to send it off. I dont know who it is but I will go look and post it here in a little while.

other than that the essential shpongle and boards of canada. They arent really trance tho...i dont really know wtf they are lol.

Chill-Out Trance I believe they call it.

jtseaweed, this poll was directed towards people who listen to goa or psy. But believe me, trance varies SO incrediabally much. I dont listen to regualar trance AT ALL! I just dont, never got into it. I'll dance my ass of to regular trance and house and all that stuff at raves just for fun, but thats it. You should check out goa or psy, its like classical music (bach, mozart...) goes electronic with a psychedelic twist. Whereas regular trance is more like britney spears goes electronic.

Hardcore Trance is really fucking cool to, anybody like that stuff here? Its so insane its cool. It could probably destroy your brain if you were on drugs, but thats why its so cool, lol.

While I'm posting I'll just add this.
The thing about psy and goa is that its the only music where listening to is like listening to a musical voyage which keeps going and going and going while you are passing all types of twists, loops and spacey sound effects and when you get into it you get ripped away with the loops and swirls and just fly with the music throughout the song, whereas like any other genre of music in the world (IMHO) is a music set up by musical rules within a frame... psychedelic trance escapes that frame and those rules.
Some dj's play with the left and right speaker frequency's to trip you out a bit, but psy trance in itself will do that for you anyway.
