Alright, Ill check out the gardening store's...online ordering is a hassle for me, so i only do it for large-ish purchases. What consistency would be good for a casing? Walmart actually has "mica compound" or something along those lines...its just ground up mica...looks like fine grade verm...would this be ok?

you will have good results with just peat. If you need the verm as well, you can substitute water crystals maybe. Or perhaps look for some Jiffy Mix, that is pre-mixed potting soil, that has buffer/verm/peat.

Target sometimes has Jiffy Mix. Home Depot and other mega hardware stores usually stock verm. There are also tons of sources online. Do a Google search...

Really...just peat? What ratio of peat per quart of WBS? Would it need regular misting or does peat retain moisture that well?
