take off the p trap and make sure it's clear, if it's clear shine a light
through the bottom of the sink the make sure it's clear, if it is then your
problem is in the way, you can snake it with a hanger, reassemble and you
should be done

Coat hanger will clean it out ok. Probably full of hair, in which case some lye would do the trick.
Don't happen to have any Red Devil lye around do you? Or Roebic's? Might be time to go get a pound or five.

Get lye. Also grab some muriatic acid. And swing by the cactus section.

shouldnt be any glue, it's probably just screwed on tight, take a small hand
towel, fold it into a thin strip, loop it around the nuts, twist the ends
together and you have an instant wrench

I suck at plumbing, so I'd probably try Dran-O first, then take a plunger to it.

If you have a toilet plunger, that might work.
Gotta stop up the drain hole with your finger, you'll see what I mean.

If it's hair that's clogging it it might be stuck in the silver part because there's usually a crosshair shaped bar that prevents larger objects from falling down it. Like someone suggested, use a coat hanger. You may not even have to take off any of the pvc pipes.

Had to fix my ex's sink all the time because she would dump tobacco and shit down it.

You're likely to send the clog deeper with a plunger. I like these spikey platic drain cleaners. All you have to do is shove it in till you hit the clog then give it a twist and pull out all the gunk that's been clogging it up.

Just like your mom.:rimshot:

edit:
Also, a cap full of this stuff one every month or two keeps my drain moving, and it's way easier than waiting for a clog, then getting out the hand crank drain snake.

That thing is called a trap, it stops septic smells from coming up out of the drains. If the drain is large enough and the clog close enough to that drain in the pipes, you can just snake it. Otherwise, harsh, volatile chemicals ftw.
These work like a motherfucker for drains with cross sections like mentioned above:
