warning: this is a long story. tl;dr is at the end
So a few of my friends pulled one of the funniest pranks I've heard in a loooong time. The story is much funnier if you know the people involved, but regardless, it's fucking hilarious. names have been changed for friends sake 
a little background: so the guy who got pranked, his name is Jordan. This guy was picked on for a long time because he was really fat, close to 300lbs through high school, so he always got a lot of shit. He's a very devout christian, but he's a fucking asshole. He just says a lot of dumb shit, stuff that he thinks is funny, but he's the only one laughing. I used to hang out with him because he was mutual friends with the two people who pulled this prank on him. Anyway, he's a pussy, and I stopped hanging out with him a couple years ago because he said all types of weird shit to my girlfriend (ex) after they got into a fight like "why don't you go kill yourself, bitch" (cause she had problems cutting and shit) and called her a cunt and everything. One night he dumped an open salsa container into her sunroof window and fucked the upholstery up...I challenged him to a fight but he said no, I shouldda just kicked his ass but instead I just cut off all communication. That makes this prank even more satisfying for me, although I'm PISSED I wasn't part of it.
The prankers:
Gerard, Patrick, and Henry.
One day they were all hanging out at Patrick and Henry's house (pat and henry are brothers), and they find this really creepy halloween mask. It looked sort of like this  . So they decide that it would be funny if they used it to scare Jordan with. So Henry gets one of his dads big trench coats and they go over to Jordans apartment. So, at Jordans apartment complex, as soon as you walk out of his door, directly to your right there is a walkway that leads to the main road that goes through the complex. There's a playground across the roadway, and next to the playground, but on the road, are the mailboxes. So it's like 9:30pm at this point, and Gerard and Patrick call Jordan to come hang out, knowing that he will walk right towards the mailboxes to get in his car. Henry is standing in this trench coat underneath a streetlight by the mailboxes, just waiting for Jordan to see him.
Well, Jordan doesn't see him and instead gets in his car and starts to pull a u-turn to leave. Henry is like "shit!!". Thinking on his feet he runs and hides behind a bush, and as soon as Jordan gets close henry just steps out into the road. Jordan sees him and just SCREAMS at the top of his lungs "AHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" (gerard and patrick were hiding in the bushes watching and said it was the pussiest scream they've ever heard, like a 5 year old girl  )
Jordan drives a stick shift and so he slams on the gas and his car dies, so Henry starts SPRINTING towards the car, but Jordan gets the car started and flies out of the apartments going like 40mph hahahahaha. He called gerard and he was like "OH MY GOD DUDE SOME RUMPELSTILTSKIN MOTHERFUCKER JUST TRIED TO KILL ME!!!" he was freaking out. He called the cops, and they came and searched all around his apartment complex looking for "some rumpelstiltskin looking guy" hahaha. So naturally he suspected it was gerard and patrick who pulled the prank on him, but they had collaborated texts earlier in the day to provide as an alibi. Jordan, still not totally convinced, but absolutely freaked out, went home that night and said he could barely sleep 
2 days later
The prank continues...
So when Gerard, Jordan and Patrick all hung out, and they got bored, Jordan would often suggest just driving around. So, a lot of nights they would end up roaming the streets aimlessly (weird, I know). Anyway, Jordan insists there is this street that's haunted, and it's in a really creepy area called edmonds woodway. Anyway, every time they are out looking for this "haunted street", Jordan ALWAYS drives down the same road. It's called Dogwood Lane, and it's creepy as hell at night. It's a one lane road, surrounded by trees and bushes on both sides.
Imagine it being pitch black though.
Anyway, to continue the prank, Gerard hatched an amazing plan. Since Jordan already suspected him and Patrick of being the prankers, he knew that they had to be with Jordan the next time they pranked him. So Gerard and Pat call up Jordan, and get him to hang out. Knowing they would have nothing to do, Gerard knew a ride around in the car would be in order.
In the mean time, Henry and a few of his friends drive to Dogwood lane, and get set up. Henry is in the trench coat, mask, and this time he has a rope and a crowbar with him
Gerard, Pat and Jordan start driving around. Gerard says something to the effect of "dude why do we always drive around pointlessly, there isn't a haunted street, this is stupid..." Jordan then insists "I'm gonna find that haunted street dude!"
They start heading down towards edmonds woodway, and Gerard is just full of excitement, knowing he's going to turn down dogwood. They drive past the street, but Jordan slams on his breaks, and reverses to drive down dogwood. Henry is standing by a mailbox that is literally DIRECTLY around the corner in that first pic
Hahah, so Jordan takes the turn, and as soon as he takes the corner, there's Henry standing in the middle of the road with the rope and crowbar. Jordan again just SCREAMS!! So loudly, Henry said his friends hiding down the street in the bushes could hear him clear as day. He then SLAMS the gas, and flies down the street going 60mph (according to Gerard and Patrick who were in the car). He was freaking out going "OH MY GOD!!! THAT'S THE SAME FUCKING GUY DUDE!!!! OH MY GOD HE'S GOING TO KILL ME!!!"
Jordan starts hyperventilating in the car, spitting out incoherent sentences, just FREAKING out
Immediately Jordan demanded to see Gerard and Patricks phones to see if they had any incriminating text messages (which they did, but luckily were all deleted before the prank happened).
Jordan now is scared as shit, thinking someone is honestly after him trying to kill him.
Jordan was still wary though and was like "dude, that was you guys right? come on" and Gerard goes "what?! how could that have been us?! you CHOSE to drive down that street!"
Jordan goes "oh my god....OH MY GOD YOU'RE RIGHT!!" and at this point starts crying
He dropped Gerard and Patrick off at home, and went home, where he didn't sleep all night.
The next day Gerard and Patrick texted him and said "dude I just want you to know that no one is trying to kill you, I can't tell you who pranked you though..."
eventually the truth came out, but holy shit...what a prank
tl'dr: my friends scared the shit out of their friend, made him cry and believe a crazy rumpelstiltskin-lookin motherfucker was trying to kill him. A two part prank that lasted a total of 3 days
