Right on! I loved this one back in the day. All the songs on Kicken mental detergent were good. The running man song was good.

still good. with as deeply influential as this album is, i'm surprised that nobody to this day has really ever tried to emulate it (as far as i know). i wore this cd the fuck out back in the day.

yeah, too bad his stuff under the phonecia pseudonym just wasn't as brilliant as soul oddity. btw if you don't own that album, buy it. the whole thing is a masterpiece.

Have you heard of Walker? Acid techno pioneer from the 90's @ Germany

His aliases Air liquide and U.M.O. (unidentified musical objects) have the same sort of vibe to their music, brilliant! Electro, acid, experimental, ...

I always liked DJ. Keoki, Scott Hardkiss, Mystic Bill, Terry Mullan, Jajo, Merlin, Matt Brendal and those cats. The early 90's were so fire!! Most of the last meaningful truly inspirational music came from the early 90's. Last of the "true" underground raves.

never heard of walker, but i DEFINITELY know air liquide. thanks man. i'll check 'em out!

considering that a lot of kids going to raves were born after 1990, 90's stuff is old skool now. to guys who were a generation before me (i'm 33), 90's would be middle school imo. honestly though, i think the 90's had some truly great music in this vein.

Come to Europe we have plentiful of both; here in Belgium/Netherlands we have quite a lot of "multisound raves"

acid, all sorts of core, techno, hardtek/tribe, jungle, breaks, THE MORE THE BETTER:heart: . I can stand a night of Acid beats pounding through my ears but dubstep gets boring after a while although i've had some wild nights at dubstep gigs (ime)

Well you can't compare early hiphop and disco to the 90's but you are right, I consider it "oldschool" .

but it's just semantics, just like goatrance is coined "oldschool" here in Belgium. Walker IS air liquide. It's his techno project, definetly some good stuff.
