fermenting sceletium?

hey
ive been looking around the web, and cant find much at all explaining the process of preparing or fermenting the sceletium plant. maybe im just not looking hard enough, but all that seems to come up are companies trying to sell the product wherever i search for information on it.

i cut some clones a couple days ago, and saved all the material that was removed from the clippings. i would like to experiment with these leftovers, possibly gain a little experience in preparing this plant for use.. if i remember correctly, i read the process is started by putting the fresh leaves in a bag or small tupperware, to allow the material to 'sweat' in the sun. im not sure if the sun is nessesary.. i put the leftovers in a small sandwich bag, rolled it up (not too tight), and put it under the flourescents with the other plants. im assuming its moreso the heat that it requires to 'sweat'..and its definetly warmer under those lights then it has been outside the last few days. im just wondering, should i change anything, or does this sound reasonably sufficient? how long should this 'fermenting' process take? it would be neat to make a tea or something that was active from this stuff :smile:
