The KEY to lucid dreaming is awareness in waking life. 2 nites ago I had a very nice LD. I didn't even expect it, but trace it back to less than 5 minutes of complete awareness earlier that day. You kind of have to sense everything around you.

Drugs and LD's don't compare.

Oh, and the best way for me to stay lucid is to wiggle my eyes around. It helps keep you in REM sleep.

Have fun with it guys

Not really lucid dreaming, but ever since I started doing shrooms I sometimes dream that mushrooms are growing in my hair. It's really unpleasant and makes me feel dirty!

Melatonin and b-6 work for me, not so much in the lucid department but more so in the vividness...I also find that not smoking pot helps ton's for me as well....I mean I don't smoke reefer while i'm sleeping, I meant just not smoking it..I quit again so hopefully i'm in for some good dream's...

Sometimes ill have a lucid dream and "wake up" from that into one of these really vivid dreams and im conviced that im actually awake its so bad that sumtimes i goto sleep in my dream and then wake up thinking that what happend in my dream was wat happend the night before. Its really weird mabey i have a psychological disorder i dunno.

Hey HansMoleman,
Are you referring to valarian root? I'm about to start taking that every night in gelcaps. I'm a mega-insomniac, and my sister (who's a nurse), said that would help. She told me to hold off till I'm off of all the other medications I'm taking though. I might as well ask while I'm here, does anyone know if valarian root will interfere with biaxin, dalacin, hydroxyzine, or good old reactine?

Wow I just looked it up on google... A dream where you know you're dreaming! That's fucking awesome! I'd fucking jjump off a cliff or something fucking awesome, or rape someone (hehe couldn't hurt) who's really hot. Imagine the possibilities!

I had a lucid dream a few mornings ago. The day before I watched a show on PBS about lucid dreaming. I think if you wake up in the morning and then go back to sleep you have a higher chance of waking into a dream.

Cutting back on weed helps, but practicing dreaming and trying to stay very concious of your dreams helps. If I repeatedly think to myself, like a mantra, as I'm going to sleep, "Sleep.... Dream....." I usually am more likely to remember dreams. If you have lucid dreaming on your mind as you fall asleep, it should help.

A tip I heard was to train yourself in thinking every 5 minutes or so; How did I come here and why? If you're dreaming you can't recall that, then you know you're dreaming and then you can take control over the dream. But often when people realise they are lucid they will get so excited that they'll wake up.
After I finish my exams I'm going to try and keep a dreamlog. Keeping a dreamlog will train you to remember dreams. Cause why be lucid if you can't remember it. I might be lucid every night.
I can recall a few lucid dreams, this happens maybe once or twice a year. I usually try to lift off and fly. That's a really intense, scary and great feeling.

I have the blessing and the curse of lucid dreaming. I experience it 2 or 3 nights a week. It is the most bizarre sensation imaginable to wake up, realize you have been dreaming, and go back to sleep while slipping back into the same dream. The incredible thing is that if you practice, you can control the direction of your dreams. You can go back to the same dream, but change the landscape or characters or situation.

Lucid dreaming is the coolest thing. Keep a diary of your dreams if you are a lucid dreamer. I prefer to interperate my own dreams but you should check out the dream site in the post above if you want to learn some guidelines.

Sweet Dreams, zzzzz
