He told me a lot of crazy things.  I'm not saying 100% that most of it is true.  Maybe he's a pathological liar, but a lot of it sounded credible to me, and as I said, he definitely went to the places he's said.



he may have been there or he may simply have followed the stories of some
reporter and I'm not saying shit like this cant happen but it's a rare event
when it does, usually large numbers of of casualties are from ordinance, not
small arms fire and even if he was fearful it's still easy to leak the
info and regardless of disclosure agreements, this would qualify as one of
those extenuating circumstances, just as a soldier can refuse any order
that is unlawful like the murder of non combatants

I heard they fiddle with each other's poopers.

While I'm sure NATO troops intentionally kill civilians all the time I remain skeptical that they're under orders and/or it's happened on such a large scale.

depends on many factors, in the field yes, in most instances they're in a
hotel, the problem is that most soldiers see them as a burden and dont want
to be saddled with someone who's untrained who's life they have to protect

and probably the biggest clue that this guy is embellishing his story, or
hell, maybe the guy believes it, there's no way anyone in command is
sending them in with a covert team. the military doesnt trust journalists

It wasn't a covert team though, it was private contracted security people.  At least, the bit I was referring to - he also told me stores about the USAF.
