Went on South Florida hunt... nothing
    #1453783 -

Hey, i just went on my first hunt today in south florida and i didnt find anything at all. I checked some cow fields but didnt see anything. Im guessing that the weather wasnt right or hasnt been in the last couple days. It was kind of cool the last few days in the 70s and has rained like twice in the last week. Do you guys have any tips specifically in the cow fields where to look??? Like do they grow around the trees in there, the fence, or just like out in the middle??? Also if any1 else lives in South Florida (Broward area) let me know. Thanks for your time.
Mike

Hey Mike,

The most important thing when hunting in pastures is Safety.

 You do not want to run into any troubles, when picking your Shrooms,

Take extra precautions in any situation that involves Trespassing, because, the mushrooms sometimes, are not worth the risk of getting thrown in the shlammer for Trespassing.

So, go the day after it rains, and start by looking underneath the Trees.

Keep shroomin,
GG

One way to avoid legal problems is just ask the owner of the pasteurs, Tell them you want to take some pictures and some mushroom samples for bioassay purpouses, and maybe some contact info to show you aren't kidding around.

Yep!!

Most Floridian farmers chase down & hog-tie the hippie mushroom pickers up, and then wait for the sheriff to get there...
   :ooo: :frown:

Keep shroomin,

I have authorized access field in South Florida (Dade, close to broward tho)... I'm down with the rancher too. It just depends on the farmer who owns the land. Redneck farmers will most likely be dicks about it... but hispanic ranchero's usually will let ya hunt. I still have yet to find a cubie in that field tho. I have only found some common mushrooms growing on wood. Nothing in the dung tho... PM me if you wanna talk more about South Florida shroom hunting, or the lack thereof. :/
