Does anyone know of any cubes in South Florida, or do I have to look to central and north florida? Cow fields are pretty hard to find down here. I haven't seen one yet.

Uhh, yeah i don't think there's much difference, but I haven't found any cow fields OR pastures... Or pastures with cows in them. Just wondering if they exist down here, or if someone can give me a GENERAL idea of where to look. (without breaking the rules of course).

Frappy where in South Florida you from? I live in South Florida and know a couple of fields within 10 minutes of my home. Also you can look around equesterian areas because that is big in South Florida. Or atlease around me Equestrian is humongous.

I live in southwest Florida and during summers i go to a spot where i get atleast 2 1/2 oz dried in just an hour. It's 15 min from my house. You'll find fields in Lee and Charlotte counties.Just watch out for wild animals and cops. The whole point of going out picking is to find that golden field.

If your in Tampa then either start driving north, south, or east. I garuantee whatever way you take after 30 mins of driving youll see hundreds of acres of cow pasture. Its a little late in the season but, cubes are definetly still out there(found one of my largest this season just today actually).

Equestrian fields may have some mushrooms, but cubenesis mainly just grow on cow shit, right? Are there cow fields nearby?

I also live in broward, I think all of us from broward should get together and pool our resources.
-------------------- And I said, I don't care if they lay me off either, because I told, I told Bill that if they move my desk one more time, then, then I'm, I'm quitting, I'm going to quit. And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk ...four times already this year and I used to be over by the window and I could see the squirrels, and they were merry, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and its not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire.

Late in the season for Cubes huh....well, thats strange since Springs comin around the bend. In southern Florida you will have to drive farther inland to start seeing aggriculture cause that is where the cheaper land is available for pastures.

Not late in the season anymore. Looks like somone dug up one of my first posts from back in September. Thanks for the tips tho. As far as I know, south florida isn't a good place to find actives. Central, North and West florida are good places to look.

Ya, i have been looking for good fields forever, I go to this one golden field my friend showed me like 3 yrs ago, it is about 1 hour north of broward, im in Boca raton, im not gonna tell u exactly where the field is cuz that would be bad for me, but i can tell you i have been around florida alotr looking for this good guys... and only about half the year they pop up in this forest i know about. rarely do i find them in the grass...its a big forest full of shit, and its cool cuase no1 can see you(alot of trees) so i go up there with my friend about every week (during the right seasons) and we spend about a hour in there, usually come out with a woin dixie bag full (each of us) Right now season is just starting to come back around... ikts starting to get real humid around here so i think im gonna go to the golden field and see how this year is gonna be, ill be sure to repost with some good ass pix, I have some of the old batches and where they use to grow but those r in my phone, heh... well south floridians, get back to me on this post or a Private message cuz im looking for people that r interested in mycology just like i am

Yes there are cows most of the time.... there are 4 diffrent fields and the farmer migrates the cows to a diff field (they r all right next to each other just diffrent sections) there r cows and bulls i believe... usually there is atleast 5 cows on the field at all time, but its cool cuz all the nshroomies r in the forest... sumtimes during the right part of the year the farmer migrates like 200 cattle into this field/forest, BTW i just found a a similar location right near my house, except i checked it out yesterday and there where no mushies, but i was insepcting the shit well and i noticed it is fully colonized with mycellium, so this means the mushies should be poppin soon, but i said fuck that and loaded up a bag full of colonized shat, so i can come home and do moes tek, heh ill let u know how it worx and ill post sum pix in a week or so
