To keep them fresh I normally store them in a jar of honey so they dont dry out. I mix and match dry and fresh all the time and there is no trouble.

most people would be surprise to know the little suckers will stay around for a long time if you put them in a zip lock bag (or garbage bag if you have a lot... ahhh the good old picking days), you can throw them in the refrigerator (NOT FREEZER), but if you are eating them in a week, there probably won't be a problem

Just make sure you get your grams correct when mixing fresh & dried. You don't want to unexpectedly under or over-dose. A totally fresh mushroom is about 10x heavier than a totally dried one. However I believe that doesn't mean eat 10x fresh weight. More like 6-8x (can anyone back up this figure??) in fresh weight since the fresh ones are more potent. A fresh shroom should stay good in the fridge (in airtight baggie, NOT in the freezer) for at least 5 days or so.

fresh are more potent? i thought drying lost no potency, unless you dried with heat?

Well psylocybin is fairly stable, but doesn't the psylocin break down very quickly? Granted the ratio of psylocin is quite small, but it could reduce the trip intensity maybe 10-15%. That may be nit-picking but it does make sense that a super fresh-off-the-cake shroom would provide a little extra kick. Mind you, I don't have much personal experience in the dry vs. fresh potency department... I'm just saying that if you normally eat 2 grams dry, be cautious, because eating 20 grams fresh might be more than you expected! ...which may not necessarily be a bad thing.
