maybe your dry rite stuff is saturated(full of water) to dry it out again put it in the microwave for 5 or 10 mins and bake away the water...

are you sure? just because it is new does not mean it hasn't absorbed water from the air. I have seen silica gel that the indicator color fades when it is used up. and even then it isn't "used up", just microwave and use again. BTW. the microwaving did end up turning the clear silica beads a coffee color, but no effect on overall performance was noticed.

sealed in a glass bottle, sounds good...I stole my silica gel from shoe stores.
