sterilizing pre poured agar??

Would it be possible, to mix up your agar, use half pint jars for your petris, pour the agar into the half pints ahead of time, then sterilize ur half pints of agar, once it solidifies, unscrew the lid and innoculate??

yeah...keep it it the fridge, in a well capped container....it will prevent it from drying out and also reduces the chances of contaimination....

Will work , but be carfull to much steam does not enter jars , this could dilute the mix keeping it from setting up . Also half pint jars are tricky to inoc , and harvest cultures from . But yes it will work .
