Dosage Procedure

I am going to eat some dried cubensis tonight, about 2 grams or so. I was just curious to know about the dosing procedure. Should I have an empty stomach and should I wash it down with water? I heard that orange juice makes the trip stronger or something along those lines, I would appreciate some advice from experienced individuals. Thank you for you time.

just eat em.

a lot of people say that a full stomach makes em kick in slower and not as hard, but ive never found that to be that case.

in fact, i think if you eat a little food BEFORE you eat the shrooms and get your digestive enzymes up and running, they will kick in quicker.

When I did it I ate something small before because I didnt feel like eating while tripping at least that's how I was. I used the shroom tea method it was great! Drink water before during and after. I ended up with a head ache the next day and a sore body.

I usually eat something light. Half a pb and j or 5-10 saltines and a piece of bologna or something. Just a light little meal of some carbs/protein. Fruit is great if you get hungry later while you're tripping.

Lots of water at least during and on the come down of the trip. Keep hydrated and you won't get a head ache. Also, acidic fruits bring out the shroominess, so drink some OJ with it. I also suggest lots of OJ the day before to get the acidity into your system for the next day's trip. That's not necessary, but I've heard it helps.

Hi pescadorabioso,

Personally I would recommend having a light meal before dosing. Grinding up the mushrooms is best, this allows the actives to be absorbed more quickly and makes digestion much easier, thus minimizing stomach discomfort. Alternatively you could make a tea from the mushrooms and discard the actual mushroom flesh, this will result in a less powerful trip but also far more comfortable for your stomach. Orange juice or lemon juice can intensify the experience - I wouldn't recommend this for beginners. Drink water if it helps you get the mushrooms down, also remember to drink during the trip - staying hydrated is always important and it's easy to forget when you're tripping balls.

I break apart my dose into little pieces into a cup, then soak in OJ for 5 minutes then gulp! I always fast for 12 hours beforehand. Have fun tonight!
