What you're looking at, my friend, is your first blob of PF mushroom! Congrats! It just seems that your pinning process has started a bit early. You might want to remove the tape from the holes in your lid and invert the jars if you haven't already. Later, these "blobs of clay" will start to blue or look almost a bluish gray if they have to stay cooped up in the jar. My first batch did the same thing. You'll see even more of them in a few days.

It could be verm. if thats what you use. pressed to close or mycelium is on the the vergege of bluing and pinning. Or from my opinion i would say a contam. anything unnordinally colered is badnews. Thats just me...who am i.

I don't know if it's the start of a mushroom... I have birthed one of the cakes and in fact have some shrooms growing on them. And they didn't start like this... but then again they didn't start in the jar.. but it is white, so i guess thats a good thing.
