WEnt with Road Kill and we stopped at my favcorate riding stable and found these Panaeolus campanulatus all over the place.

Here are two images.

and then we found some panaeolus semiovatus.

Here are two. Road Killheld the one in his hand and I photographed it as such and thent he second was in the compost heaps of straw and horsemanure and stable shavings and grassy.

Well this is Washinbgton State and I have been going to this particular riding stable since 1977. Paul And I went there years ago. We not oinly found Panaeolus subbalteatus there but one summer, blue ringers appeared inthe woodchip stable shavings compost heaps and also some baoes were picked there yeasrs ago. every year though they change things around, somethimes they are closed for months.

Today there were only ab few horses boarcing there and one caretaker came out but said nothing.

I even found two Copelandia's there about 15 years ago. have pictures of those somewhere.

ALl you have to do is ask if yo can photograph themushrooms. Washington as you know is the mushroom capital of the world and people who live inthe country where there are riding stables knwo about edible and other shrooms.

Those panaeoli semiovati are beautiful. Are they edible or hallucinogenic?
