What if evidence, WMDs are found that back what bush/blair asserted. Will that make a differance?

Besides I thought everyone thought we should be going after N.Korea and others instead of Iraq. What if they want to go after then next?

Not saying we should (yet).

It may make a difference to some I suppose. I still think they could have been found through peaceful means eventually and obviously even if they do find them many will accuse them of planting the WMD's. All though I wouldnt rule this out as a possibility it would be very hard to prove either way! I think if the Iraqi's actually use them on our troops then opinion will swing wildly towards supporting the war. But even if that happens there is a big difference to using them against an invading army and using them inside US or UK borders to target a civillian population wouldnt you say?

If the US is going to lie why wouldn't we just chem ourselves and blame it on him. I won't be suprised at all it that happens if Saddam does us WMDs. But in a world were people wear aluminum foil on their heads I can believe anything when it comes to what people are willing to believe.
Did that make any sense?

Good! I'm getting mighty sick of the whole "the majority says this" -- "no, the majority says that" arguments posted here a dozen times a day. Glad to see there will be at least two of us who will refrain.

Make that three of us. The majority are flaky idiots.

If we were to plant WMD's and if we are as evil an ill intentioned as some think then why wouldn't we gas our own troops and then blame it on Saddam. If Saddam were to use WMD's I'm sure we'll get blamed anyway.

Better?

Because ignoring the propaganda machine for a second, everyone knows that even if he has some 20 year old chemical weapons he has no method of delivering them.

BS. Saddam knows how to load this stuff into artillary shells and he has plenty of them. Were only talking about 50-100 miles here. Drones could easily do this too if he has any.

I'd agree more with you if there were large numbers of brits dying. Has it even passed a dozen yet?

And it's more the size and speed of the swing.

12 dead troops in today's instant media coverage mad society is like 10,000 troops dead in WWII.

People freak out now if 2 people die in a bombing incident, when millions of civilians were killed in WWII and nobody freaked out at how wrong the allied forces were for being in the war.

People are WAY too sensitive now about people dying, I'm not saying its not horrible when civilians or soldiers die; but people need to keep things in perspective.
