why dont you just ignore the members you don't like. theres a feature like that for a reason.

if the user posted this, and then got a response from you, and continued to post in this fashion (egging you on so to speak) i'd ban him in a heartbeat.

but like i said, use the notify button, the green team will be all over that :notify:

I'm glad you guys seem in agreement, but the fact is that is not what happened.

That wasn't a standalone post and took more than 1 notification of other posts (I know, by more than 1 person) to get a mod to take action.

I also believe it was another mod (from outside that forum) that was finally notified, and then banned the user. (And that's nothing against this mod, just maybe we need more.)

To the poster who advocated the ignore feature, that issue was already addressed, and your point taken. (thought counter-point was given, as well)

The other counter-point is this: Can you "ignore" an anonymous poster? We either need to crack way down on anonymous trolls, or add an "ignore anon" feature.

I stand by my point that those seeking discussion, advice, etc, are far more in their right using these forums than any type of troll. And if you ask why a (possibly mentally ILL and emotionally unstable) poster cannot ignore a troll, I would ask you why a troll can not just ignore an OP?

So far as I'm concerned, that brings the question back to "which had the right?"
