I don't like the voting idea.

But I do like the idea of administrators pulling the plug on certain accounts. It has been done before, and it will no doubt be done again.

The Freshmaker, CASHMONEYMILLIONAIRE, and Frank Stallone, among others, got regulated. Obviously this did not solve the problem.

But I think it's time for the rest to disappear as well. I got home from vacation yesterday. Since then, moderating has actually taken up a decent amount of my time, considering the amount of shit that Sly Stallone, The Rev. Freshmaker, and non itallion stallion posted in the last 48 hours or so. It's pretty damn irritating.

I don't have a problem with things that seem "useless"....after all, my posts aren't exactly useful. But it's the negativity....the flames....the arguments the troll is having with itself....the fact that his basic purpose is to try and rock the boat and fuck up the whole thing.

Why do we have to wait for the administrators to come along and do it?They do a fine job but getting rid of complete trash is a fairly simple thing to determine if it's worth doing.Especially with mods who frequent these boards as often as they do,they are capable of doing it.

Please please please get rid of them. They have had their chance. Delete their accounts and block their IPs from registering again. They are really destroying the site. They aren't being controversial or interesting, just wasting space and people's time.

Or maybe moderators could just ban a user from posting in their forum?

I don't know, seems a little iffy to put too much power in too many people's hands (like me....do you trust me that much?)

YES,If a mod gets outta hand they're out.The mods here put a lot of time to earn there ranks and I'm assuming they won't abuse it.Let's say a new user logs in and really does accidently comes across as a troll by mistake and they get deleted,oh no they have to re-register and start again without acting like an idiot.And by giving a lot of people power like that it'll be like watching clay shooting with trolls.This troll is proud of the little detailed characters they come up with,and it hurts every time one gets deleted.Captain your here often enough to recognise a troll,especially with this guy.Why are we tip-toeing around this shit,I love this place but it really is getting out of hand.

Maybe make a rule that mods can only delete users with a certain amount of posts,or registered within the last week so long time members are safe from a grudge holding mod(which I don't see any of).

I definately think Aphex should give at least a few other people the power to delete accounts.. Captain would be an ideal choice.

Its just frustrating to see all these posts by very obvious trolls and not see anything done about them.. Shit heap isnt enough, we need those accounts deleted.

What was changed with registration, maybe more can be done to make registration more effective. Maybe like the Lyceum, write a short essay :wink:

And i agree.. that's the reason i stopped being a regular poster.. too many retarted things.. only having a few hours aday to spend here i'd rather not have 90% of it spend on garbage

I've been out of town for the past couple days. Since I've gotten back I've been talking with Captain Jack and we'll start taking some action against the trolls in the next day or two.
