light for seedlings

I can't set my cups next to any windows in my house due to the fact i live with my mom so what type of light could i use to start my seedlings? Would a small 60w flourescent work?

i donno to what seeds your refering, but you could bonsai them and cut the fan leaves leaving only the middle blade... Toad has posted a small instructional set of pictures that i created to help the bonsai'er out... it's a little hard to follow but if you read carefully and give it some thought it makes some sense. Then you don't need to hide them.

What I mean is, I germinated some seeds and now they are in cups, and I plan to transplant them outside once the plants are a few inches tall, so would a small light work alright for this? peace.

Yes, but more light is almost always better (until you reach saturation).

Also, give them some air circulation. A computer processor fan will do the job if you have only a few plants.
