2 Days in Utrecht, 3 days in Amsterdam!

Tomorrow I leave with my Girlfriend and her good friend who is staying with us to go see the reportedly beautiful, visually pleasing cities of Utrecht and Amsterdam.

Now, this is more monumental than JUST the Coffeeshops there, although I must admit for certain I shall sample the fine greens.

BUT, I finally get to see more of Europe, as I only been in Berlin, and spent 7 hours in a Belgium airport. I generally am obsessed with Architecture, always glaring at buildings as if they are looking into me. Seeing non-german buildings is exciting me!

Also, I'll be excited to get some more Super Robot of the Future outside some nice scenery...we've been toying around the idea of combining psytrance/electro with Super Robot speeches.

Anyway Shroomery, any advice for us so we do not turn into the Human Centipede from an evil German doctor who runs a hostile?

heh. i'm in utrecht right now. but i'm leaving for belgium tomorrow.

which city are you doing first? i'd recommend doing amsterdam first. after the 3 days of streets packed full of loud annoying tourists in amsterdam, utrecht will feel like a little slice of peaceful heaven.

btw, i hitched out of berlin 2 days ago. i made it to utrecht in one ride. straight from berlin to the doorstep of my couchsurf host. it was awesome.

Have fun. Skip Amsterdam, and use the time to visit some other places in the Netherlands. Perhaps go down to the coast in Zeeland (much nicer than to the north); there'll be loads of Krauts to socialize with :wink:

Or go to The Hague (much nicer than Amsterdam as well) and visit the Scheveningen beach. Or if you're into the whole modern architecture thing, try Rotterdam and see how they're preparing the city for the Tour de France. Anything's better than Amsterdam, basically.
