I think atheism is the most pretentious of all religions.

1st of all how can you be so full of yourself that youre absolutely convinced that the idea of there not being a god is 100% Fact.

2nd of all it's pretty fail to not recognize youre being a religious fanatic of sorts whilst essentially condemning all religion.



Plus this guy is a prick and unfunny

I mostly agree with you Olympus Mons. I wouldn't say that all atheist are but certainly the ones i meet are just as fanatical as any bible thumpers.

And i also find Bill Maher to be a pompous assbag

you know climate gate proved that global warming is a lie. It was just an idea al gore came up with soon after he invented the internet. In a strange way the internet is actually responsible for global warming, so someone should slap some emissions taxes on the tubes.

QFT. That's what I don't understand about my Atheist friend. It's like he is blind and feels you can't walk the middle ground knowing you can't be wrong if you give a possibility of all outcomes.

Strong Atheism as defined by Dawkins belief scale (shown here: http://christophersisk.com/dawkins-belie...e-images/) says "Strong Atheist: I am 100% sure that there is no God."
I think its safe to say that Strong Atheism is just as ridiculous as any religion (based on the assumption it makes) and may as well be considered a religion itself.

It merely concludes that there is insufficient evidence to answer the question "Is there a God?"

I don't necessarily have respect for other peoples beliefs, but I keep it to myself and don't tell them that I think their religion is silly or call them dumb for believing in it. This thread is a perfect example of how NOT to represent your religion...

im an omnist there's no repping that. plus it's all in good fun, atheists are actually pretty intelligent, i mean they personally know that there is no god.

Indeed. The ones I have come across are rather hypocritical.
"There is no proof that there is a God, therefore I won't believe it!"
Yet, there is no proof that there isn't a God either. :shrug:

I'm no fan of organized religion, but I don't pretend to know the truth when it's obvious that nobody really does.
