So wait, atheists are dumb because they don't believe in something that there is no proof of?

Gotcha.

The human need to justify their existence is phenomenal. Is it really that hard to believe that there might be no god?

For the record, I'm not an atheist. But that position tends to make way more sense to me than believing in some highly structured set of beliefs that was thought up by somebody thousands of years ago.

PS: the OP is one of the worst I've seen in a while. Complete lack of content.

I don't believe that the Flying Spaghetti Monster exists b/c there is no evidence. I can't prove it doesn't exist, but if you believe that it does than the burden of proof is on you. I can say with 100% fact that the Flying Spagetti Monster doesn't exist b/c it's fucking crazy, we can explain the world without it, and it doesn't make any sense.

The problem with god is that IF there is a god, why doesn't he help us out and clearly we NEED help? Clearly, if there is a god, he doesn't care about us in any way, therefore, there is no need to think about him as he just as unbiased and apathetic to our well-being as NATURE.

Secondly, the gods portrayed in the holy books and particularly the message they give, contradicts itself within the holy books.

Sure, I am not going to pretend to say 100% that there isn't a creator to the universe, however, I can say 100% that he doesn't care about us if he does exist and thus that there is no reason to have any inclination moral/ethical that reflects his existence.

If Atheism isn't a religion then why are there campaigns to gain more recruits? Why advertise on billboards and buses? Why are atheists proselytizing like the people who come knocking on my door with leaflets about their religion? It's no different.
