fucked up pinset

OK, here is the deal. My friends friend batman has a pinset now. But there are things that are weird about it. First off they are all at the bottom of the cake. Then one of them looks like a big fat puff and its head is on the side. And theres like a bunch of them in one tiny spot. And ALL of the pins are growing on just one side of the cake. Is this weird or normal?

cakes seem to be unpredictable with regaurd to pinning formation.
as for the fatass, you might check your RH. what kind of humidification are you using?
overalll problems may be due to low water content. do the cakes seem dry?

Do you have a bubbler ?
How's positioned the light ?
Did the shrooms grow facing any of this two items (Air+Light)?

he used perlite and the light was on top and the cakes dont really seem that dry. When he handled it it bruised real blue it that helps.

Again, how does your system work in terms of air exchange, manual fanning ? Air pump ?
