satisfaction and comfort zones in life
    #13653443 -

i am generally a fairly upbeat person and try to keep myself stable while enjoying life for the little things that make me happy. with everything there are highs and lows, sometimes life makes you deal with shitty situations.

i know for every one it is a different process, but how often do you so to speak take a nice deep breath and settle into a satisfied place?

kind of spurred on by end of the year emotions and what not.

personally, i am almost 24, feel like i am getting closer to what i want to do for a permanent living and am making my home that i bought 18 months ago a place i am happier in. on the down side i am a work-a-holic, feel i drink too much (but enjoy it), am embracing a relationship a am not 100% convinced about (mostly because i am still in love with the x 2+ years later...)but optimistic, and approaching the end of some legal supervision later this coming year for some BS that i have dealt with since i was 18. i feel good things coming this year, more personal time and self improvement.

how satisfied are you with your current life situation, are your striving for more or taking it easy enjoying what you have? do you have plans you follow or take life as it comes?

feeling much better about my apathy i dealt with today partly for writing this and partly i am headed to work shortly (bartending) and that usually livens me up.

:waits:  :peace:

Sounds like you have alot of good things going for you, and at at such a young age. You don't see that very often, well atleast I don't. I'm sort of just kicking back right now. I work some days and somedays I don't. Honestly I have no plans as of right now, maybe subconsciously I do, but I guess I'm just not cut out for this working world. I would love to do what I love someday without having to worry about finances. Hopefully it all works out.

This is my current state of mind.:hippie::peace:

I feel comfortable on days like today when i am just relaxing but im also working on some music project as a long term plan.  So i'm a mix of content but even more so on some level looking forward to the future.  I have some other things in the works too but if i can get a nice place sometime between mid next year and the summer which may be possible, i could reach a deep level of freedom i haven't really lived in yet.  Im free in mind but i think the future as long as some long as some things work out, has a lot of potential for me.

Do whateevr makes you happy.  :thirdeyeani:

honestly sometimes i envy people with the ability to chill out and really relax, i know i am capable but due to the before mentioned legal issues. been working since i was about 4 so just kind of a way of life i guess.

i feel success is a 50/50 mix of persistence and timing. the world is ours right? just have to know how/when to take it.

nice work on the hopeful deep freedom sk8alex, so nice to have a consecutive stretch of time where you are free and able to pursue personal endeavors.

zzzz's i wouldn't worry about fitting in this fake $ world, it is nothing but a bunch of stress, again i think happiness comes from within, so as long as your ship rocks in a good way keep it rocking.

I am 25. Been living in a new (bigger) city for 5 months now. I have a nice girl who is going to school, we have a very small, but nice enough and very affordable place in a super location. I have a good job and will be getting a raise in a couple weeks, i like my responsibilities, my bosses and my co-workers. At work i feel like i am learning on a daily basis. I am also making big headway with strength training and running, and my body is starting to develop the way i want it to.

I really enjoy little things; listening to the radio, reading the paper, having an excellent diet, early bed times, being treated with respect at work, cooking, working out, tinkering around the house, etc.

Right now, i have no social life what-so-ever. Books, food, and weights are my only friends. I would like to build a healthy network of friends locally with whom i can hike and do outdoorsy things with... However, for the winter, i am hellset on working as much as possible and paying off about $5000 debt while working on building my body.

Come spring i hope to join some outdoors groups and do some skills sessions so hopefully i can meet some people. I am totally happy just putting my nose to the grindstone right now.

Long term, i am thinking about setting up my motorcycle for a cross canada trip this summer and then working another year before doing some international travel.

I am considering some formal schooling in carpentry, but would like to go into sciences. We'll see.

Right now i am just relishing in being healthy.
