The Night Before Christmas - One Year Later

December 11th 2010

T’was the night before Christmas
And all through the town
The cops were out cruising
With narks all around.

We picked all our shrooms
And stuffed our huge sacks
We knew very soon
We'd be stoned to the max.

We drank some hard whiskey
And smoked our eyes Red
Ate a quarter of Cubes
I was fucked in the head.

We partied till midnight
And to the following day
Then the doorbell had rang
Who would be coming our way?

As I opened the door
Through the threshold I'd see
A tall stalky old chap
There's no way...could it really be?

There stood the ol’ man
From a year ago today
"Remember me?"
And he came in to stay.

I rubbed my red eyes
To make sure It was clear
That I wasn’t hallucinating
Like I thought happened last year.

He pulled up a chair
And slumped himself down
And dumped out his bag
There was booze all around.

So we sat around the lab
And he passed around some drinks
Enjoyed some fresh shrooms
The old fella' could even blink.

Just when we thought
He couldn’t take any more
Nick reached in the bag
And pulled out shrooms galore.

He laughed and he chuckled
As he ate many more
Then he jumped from his chair
And staggered for the door.

As he walked through the exit
And he turned for a glance
He smiled and he nodded
Then he sprung from his stance.

He jumped into a sleigh
That was out in the street
Tied to eight dazzling reindeer
It was hardly discreet.

He looked over his shoulder,
As he said with a shine
"Till next year..
We'll have another great time!"

Then he wiggled in his seat,
As if to find the right groove
"That feels much better!"
"Now I gotta' move!"

With sound of a whistle
They flew up and away
Screaming, "Merry Christmas Shroomery, and have a Happy Holiday!"
