I just saw Jimbotron's Modern World cartoon post in the Political Discussion forum and it contained the phrase "We despise you with the raging intensity of a thousand white hot suns".  I loved that phrase and I will apply it to the DEA.

I'm a huge believer in peace and civil disobedience, but I don't for one second feel bad about any violence they receive.  Their job is to ruin lives, and we all, against our will, pay them to do it.  They also call it a WAR on drugs.  Fuck em, war has violence; so when the mexican cartels fuck 'em up.  Not my problem.

I feel the same way.  I try my best to be peaceful and loving, but I must admit that I get a happy feeling when I hear that something bad has befallen a DEA agent.

If I came across a DEA agent in the desert, parched, starving, inches from death, rambling in a delirium about his 2 year old son and newborn daughter I would piss on him and slit his throat and smoke a joint while I watch the vultures pick his bones.

I know I shouldn't hate anyone.  But on the other hand, everyone understands when peaceful people say they hate Al Quaeda and wish them ill.  I consider the DEA to be terrorists.  They're our Al Quaeda.

Haha, good one.  I like it.  Do you consider yourself a peaceful person?  If so, how do you reconcile the two thoughts?  That's what I'm having trouble with.

Absolutely. I wish violence on almost no one. But I have no problem wishing death on the DEA. These are people who actively wage violent warfare on American citizens for profit, who have the GALL to spout all of their moral absolutism that they are trying to make our country a better place. They are traitors who utilize a large portion of tax dollars to pad their own pockets while waging race and class warfare. Nothing is too horrible for them. Nothing.

Probably for the best if you do away with the prospect of reconciliation altogether, because it doesn't exist. Ultimately there's no difference between a hippie's hatred for the DEA, and the DEA's 'enthusiasm' for domestic terror.

If you'd watch him deteriorate in the desert sun or put a bullet in the back of his head, or if he'd put you in jail for 10 years for a roach is just pure checkers.

I don't normally quote anyone, let alone drunken postal workers, but it's like the old latin phrase:

si vis pacem, para bellum

If you wish for peace, prepare for war.

I don't think leaving a DEA agent to die in a desert is the same as the DEA putting many, many people in jail and prison (hell) for possessing a drug.

The DEA agent is doing what he believes to be right, while the hippie leaving him in the desert, is essentially doing the same, with a twist of vengeance. And in the end, everyone's help is poison. A person can over-emphasize the importance of their own ideologies, and that may get you some praise on Facebook, for being opinionated and all, but in the end, the peacenik is capable of similar, or greater atrocities, given the means.

There was a thread recently, "Psychedelic Society". It was a bunch of hippies, talking about a state in which everyone used drugs responsibly. Yet many of them spoke like hillbilly eugenicists. Blaming the morons, those trying to achieve euphoria, who find enjoyment in sex and who like to take too much. If this state existed, would it really be better? Probably not.

Don't let me be misunderstood, though. I believe on some level the same things you do about their injustices, and that it would be right to let them suffer to death in the desert. I'm just in a neutral mood.  :grin:

:shrug: I just believe what goes around comes aruond.  Will I do it?  No.  But, i certainly won't shed a tear for someone who ruins lives.  I respect police, I don't respect anyone whose job description entails ruining lives.
