Christ, Lesnar just got fucked up.

I don't understand what happened, he looked hurt bad.

Broken cheek, or orbital bone, or something...

I'm pretty psyched Cain got it. I've never liked Brock Lesner ever since he migrated from WWE. The bigger they are, the harder they fall, amiright?

i like brock, but he is a fucking idiot for loosing that fight, or loosing it the way he did.  He did the exact same shit he did in his last fight thinking that would win it for him, but i guess he missed the memo about cain not wearing out in 30 seconds.  You don't curl up into a ball and think your going to win.  He obviously didn't do a single thing different in training, other than hoping his beard would soften cains punches:lol:

In defense of the beard, I think it made him look much more hardcore.

I'm a HUGE carwin fan though.  Carwin is much more ferocious and just as accurate in my opinion.  only, he depleted his gas tank.  Forgot to breathe.

I'm hoping to see a Carwin learn something from that brock lesnar fight.  He can't go hardcore, hogshit wild on roy.  Roy went 3 rounds with dos santos beating his ass.  I think Carwin knows this, will pick and choose his combos.  I still think we will see a stoppage in round 1 or 2, proving carwins ability over dos santos.

I've been a fan of all 3(cain, carwin, junior) for a long time.

As much as I want cain to beat junior, I hope junior wins so I can see carwin vs junior.

Still, I think strikeforce has a pretty deadly heavyweight division as well.

I think that the Dos Santos vs. Velasquez fight for the HW title has a chance to be epic..  That fight is going to be a WAR!!!:box:

Been saying it for a while, but Lesnar is a terrible kickboxer. He will never get anywhere in this sport on his feet.

The fact that he couldn't keep velasquez down was the death toll for him. His striking is an embarrassment.

Kickboxing is not a skill you can excel at professionally in a couple years. About time we saw some people with real talent take the top spots in the division.

Also Kampmann got robbed against Shields. I know he was on top longer, and got more takedowns. However Kampmann had 2-3 times as many submission attempts, and three big knockdowns from knees to the head. Plus he made Shields face into hamburger. Motherfucker could barely stand when they announced him the winner.

Just goes to show what is wrong with judging in this sport.

Brock Lesnar's striking isn't embarrassing, he just obviously doesn't possess the technical skill of Cain.  He's only been in the sport for a couple of years, and he's beaten some of the most experienced fighters (Couture, Mir, Herring).  His game has improved a lot, and I think he can and will greatly improve his striking.  But the breadth of his shoulders and frame along with his massive size give him a speed disadvantage, so I foresee Lesnar's strength always being on the ground or in the clinch.

i dont think it's his technical skill which is the long term deficit for Brock.

It's more his ability to deal with adversity.  This is the third or fourth time u see him unravel when it comes to gameplanning.

Is he mentally strong enough to be a good fighter?  He's come back from troubling situations before, but u can see even in the first round against Carwin, he just turns into a bumbling mess once he gets hit a couple times.

You can build your muscles as big as you want in the gym, hit as many pads, grapple as much as possible, but it won't make your chin any stronger.

There are plenty of fighters with incredible, superior physically capabilities who struggled to stay at a high level, because they just didn't have the mental strength.

Admit it, Lesnar has a glass-jaw, and has never looked good against ANYONE on his feet.

Lesnar tried to stand against Mir and changed his mind pretty quickly.

Ditto with Couture if I remember correctly.

He's not going anywhere in this sport, on his feet.
Nobody kick-boxes at a truly professional level after < 2 years of training.

brock was slower moving to the angles, cain hit the angles quick and fast and caught brock off balance.cain also has big time power,so one clean flush punch is all it takes from cain.brock looked slow against cain when they locked up,cain just out maneuvered him at every turn.cain proved he was the better striker and grappler, brock will never win the title again.brock reminds me of matt hughes, big time grappler but no hands at all.

Actually he TKO'd Couture with a big punch behind the ear.  And knocked Heath Herring into next week with the first punch in their fight.  Was it good stand up? Not really but he has long fucking arms a lot of power.

He does have power and a good reach, but that's not enough to be competent against the top guys in the heavyweight division. I don't see him becoming champ ever again.
