i actually like this fight card.
not alot of huge marquee matchups, but there are definitely certain underrated curiosities with this card.
The main event is kind of neat, not worth paying for, but still interesting.
I think Evans can take it, it's going to be a tough fight and I'm pretty sure they're going to stand for most of it. Should be an entertaining fight.
Evans goes the distance alot, but he's still exciting to watch, always very active, becoming more and more well rounded.
Watching Hendo and Rich come back is also good. I'd love to see those two fight each other though, rather than Palhares and Hamill.
Karo is going to have his hands full with Zenko, probably one of the most rapidly improving fighters in the game today.
Yoshida's really been on a tear, go check out some of his GCM fights. He's beaten some quality opponents pretty decisively, like Inoue, and being the first one to finish and pretty much dominate the highly respected Akira Kikuchi.
Karo vs Zenko is the most intriguing matchup for me.

chuck is hard as hell to take down though. he's got an excellent sprawl which is why most of his fights stay upright

Chuck is the only one of those guys I've heard of.
As a casual fan I haven't been very excited by many of the recent UFC cards.
Wasn't the whole point of Pride being bought out that there would be tons of awesome fights?
I'll watch this of course, and likely enjoy it.
But shit, how is that Affliction, a group nobody has ever heard of, can put together a card much better than UFC can?
Maybe too many PPVs?

Fedor (Pride) vs Sylvia (released by UFC) Barnett (ex UFC) vs Rizzo (ex UFC) Arlovski (ex UFC) vs Rothwell (IFL) (Nogiuera Pride) vs Dewees (ex UFC)
getting the picture? They kinda skimmed off the old guys from the UFC and a few stragglers from other organizations that don't really want to sign with the UFC for some reason or another (desire to compete in another sport, country, etc).
The UFC's idea of superfights are Couture/Lesnar and Noguiera/Mir, that's why the cards haven't been that great.

Parisyan is done. Pulling out of this fight at the last second may just end his career if he can't win a good fight when he heals and comes back.

Damn I wish I'd put my money where my mouth was, because right now I'd have a lot more of it
Not really showboating it's just what keeps him in his rhythm, to each his own.

i know man
sometimes it is worth it though, to use your mma knowledge as an advantage in sports betting.
i only started betting a little recently, i made $80 on bodog for picking Jackson over Liddell in the rematch.

Different fight buddy. He's toned it down quite a bit and just uses it because it keeps him in his natural rhythm.
Is Diaz's little "raise the roof" motions showboating? No it's just what he does to keep him in his own striking game. Like I said to each their own.
I dunno though my personal MMA experience doesn't really apply to picking fights any better than someone who pours over stats and results. It's just more of a feeling that I get where something about one guy is going to really bother the other one. Rashad's style of striking I felt was going to be a big trouble for good old sit back and wait Chuck.

The thing about that KO was both of them were going in for straight power punches, and Evans caught him first.. Chuck was coming in with a nasty upper-cut that i am sure if he had connected with Rasshad would have sent his ass down. What would have made me fucking laugh my head off is if Chuck had caught him as well, and both of them had gone down. The fuck would have UFC done if they both had laid out each other?

That's an expression i, and many i know use..
"Straight power punches"= They were attempting to knock each other the fuck out by going in with extreme force.
Still and all i would have enjoyed seeing them both send each other down, and the look on Dana White's face when he had to decide what the fuck would have happened next.

Really? Are you sure that's a different fight? Rashad is fighting a white guy, it must be chuck... After all the shit people gave him about the rashad dance, of course he toned it down. The man still fights like a cat in heat though.
And the arm raises that gomi and diaz both do is showboating.
It doesn't bother me personally, I just thought it was a little ridiculous to claim he doesn't showboat when the rashad dance exists.

I see you meant like "straight up" not directionally straight I thought you were referring to a straight right hand or something of the sort, I gotcha.
And I guess different people have different definitions of showboating then, and I guess you could call me a showboater
