A lot of the people were definitely not new to the sport.  That's what was shocking to me. 

And they were yelling so loud and so much I barely heard the commentators at all.  :grin:

It was a good time and during the Mir-Lesnar fight, I was the only one in the entire living room not jumping up and down when Lesnar was pounding on Mir.  I was thinking to myself that Mir had a shot when he was not knocked out after the Lesnar barrages.

Lesnar definitely showed alot of potential.


I'd love to see him fight again.


His GnP is pretty solid, thanks to his enormous frame.

That's fucking lame. I've been watching the sport for a very long time and that standup was bullshit.

I've seen it hundreds and hundreds of times before. In that exact same situation the norm is for you to hear the ref "WATCH THE BACK OF THE HEAD". The fact he comes in, deducts and point and stands them up right away after two shots to the back of the head is just confusing. I can honestly say in all my years of watching I can't remember them doing that. Normally there is a warning first.

As gay as that was...i'm glad mir won

For everyone saying there was no warning... there were 2. Once in the dressing room and then again right before the fight. It was unusual but I'm not going to argue when someone doesn't care about the rules and breaks them 1 minute into the fight.

I was surprised Tim didn't get more shit for grabbing the cage.

I've been reading that supposedly 22 seconds into the fight the stache warns lesnar about shots to the back of the head. I don't have a copy though.
