What's an ideal soil PH for Herb Robert (Geranium Robertianum)?
    #13484562 -

It's hard to find this out on the internet.

I tested the soil PH for my Herb Robert and it is very low.

LOL.

That stuff is a weed here and grows freely throughout the Melbourne region. I just spent some of my day pulling the crap out of gardens. I wouldn't worry about the soil pH too much if at all.

If you want to worry about the soil pH you can adjust it to between 6.2 - 6.8. This is what the majority of plants like and will enable the plant to uptake the nutrients from the soil and not have them "locked out" like if the soil pH was too low or high.

QFT.  You know if it's a weed in Karode's environment AND here in Portland that it's a tolerant plant :P  What sparked your interest in growing it?  You could probably sow it into the dust from your vaccuum cleaner and it would still grow :P

Grows like a weed here. Mostly we have acidic soil around here.

I can see the appeal in growing it if you didn't know it was a noxious weed. It looks nice in a shady area when in flower.

My favourite flowering weed is Scarlet pimpernel, Anagallis arvensis. I've often thought of breeding a large flowering variety when out in the field and a wave of boredom overwhelms me.

Ma's growing it because she was given one.

I've been testing the soil PH of many areas of my garden so i can optimise it. One of the places i checked was the soil the Herb Robert is planted in and i couldn't find any info on Google for the soil PH so i thought i'd consult the Shroomery.
