Herbal supplements for ADD

I have a friend who lost her job and will not be able to get her ADD med (Vyvanse) refilled.

Does anyone know of some supplements to help with her alertness?

I heard about tryosine but haven't tried to buy any yet.

Whats up gramps its SmOak from the sister site.  i dont think there is any herb that does what amphetamines do.  Just ask some students you know for their meds.

generic non time-release adderall is like 10 bucks with average medical insurance, vyvanse is retardedly expensive

i don't even understand why amphetamines are being discussed consider the OP's post..

anyway, as far as something you can get quick.. acetyl-l-carnitine + alpha lipoic acid will definitely help a little but don't expect the same as you'd get from amphetamines. you can pick up a bottle of 50 for like $8 at wal-mart if you're that cheap :smile:

seriously though, i have adhd like a mother fucker, and i was really struggling at my new job that i really need to keep until a couple days ago when i got my dexedrine script filled. the alcar (acronym for acetyl-l-carnitine) helped at least a little before i had my real meds
