Anyone have problems with sporework's PDA?

I've been having trouble with bacteria in my agar plates.  Its a consistent 99% contam rate.  Could there be a problem with the PDA powder itself from sporeworks? (sterilization resistant? the same reason we soak our grain).  Is the recommended 39g PDA mixture per quart (1000mL) too much?

Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem before I buy some antibotic agar from Stamets

Did it ever strike you that it might be your sterile procedures?
If EVERY dish is contam'ed, you should pour a control plate and not do anything with it...
If it contams, your doing something wrong...

With proper sterilization in your pressure cooker there should not be any bacteria that survive. Even bacteria that form endospores should be killed off during a typical pressure cooker run. My guess is that the contamination must be coming from somewhere else. Do you pour your plates in a hood, glovebox or out in the open? When I pour plates I will often pour them on a lab bench with a bunsen burner turned on and sitting close by. This creates an upward convection that seems to really help keep things from contaminating the plates. I also use the bunsen burner to flame the lip of the bottle from which I am pouring.
