My sessions only last about 2 minutes. It takes about 10 seconds per transfer and like 5 per inoculation.

Uh, no, because your free hand is taking the fucking picture. Who knows what you do without snapping pics. I didn't realize people left those things on the whole session, just seems like it'd blow through the fuel.
Yah, mine does. Hell, mine burns through the gas even when I switch it of inbetween flaming.

Hot dang! I spend like an hour in front of the hood with a handful of plates. I clean shit excessively though, better safe than sorry.

I have the same one. It's easy to wipe down too. The only problem is sometimes when you flick it to off, there's still a little flame every once in awhile.
You could also drop it while on continuous. That's not good.
I'm thinking of getting an alcohol lamp. But damn these torches are fast and use like zero fuel. Very efficient.

I can't hold my breath that long. So I keep it quick.
Just be carful bending over when your torch is running.
These sweat pants will never be the same again.

I would keep using the torch. Alcohol lamps take too long to heat a scalpel IME. I was using thicker scalpels at the time but I doubt it would be much different with a no.11.

So they sent the tube and bunsen seperate. I think Im gunna try this see if I cant hook the burner to the bottle like this, using the torch as a regulator. Just gotta pull the tube up further (its hard cause its wicked tight squeeze) , then ziptie to clamp it in place to be safe.
If I don't like how it sets up Ill just go back to the torch, I mean it was only 5 bucks

So I got the burner today, hooked it up to the propane torch. Seems safe enough
It is nice to not have to bend down constantly to flame my tools (I have a bad back), I didnt trust the torch on my table.
I dunno if I really like the flame this puts up Ill have to see if it does my tools fast enough.
Well see
