Help ID Boletes wanted
    #13341163 -

After finding some lone boletes here and there for the couple of last weeks, I finally found my first promising hunting grounds today

Please help me identify following boletes. Spore-print is in the making at the moment.

-------------

#1

Habitat: Birch woods, found close to birches growing from the ground.

Tubes: Whitish and stains light brown.

Stem: White with very coarse black reticulation (or are they scabers?). 3-4cm wide

Cap: Dark brown to ash-black, smooth, 10-15cm in diameter.

Spore print color: cinnamon brown

Bruising: Cutting the stem produces a very clear blue stain. Very slow process tho (takes more than a couple of minutes)

Smell: Briused stem very chemical (alkaline?), towards cap more pleasant mushroomy/fruity

Location: Western EU

#2 : Boletus Badius?

Habitat: Mixed Woods - Found close to fir/oak. Growing from the ground.

Tubes: Strong yellow, lighter when young. Bruises blue/green quickly.

Stem: Dirty Yellowish. 2-3cm wide.

Cap: Leather Brown, smooth, somewhat sticky. 10-15 cm in diameter.

Spore print color: Olive

Bruising: Flesh bruises slightly blue, more so when removing the tubes

Smell: no smell

Location: Western EU

#3

Habitat: Mixed Woods (Oak/fir) Found near some major fir trees, growing from ground quite abundantly.

Tubes: bright yellow when young, dirty yellow when older. Tubes large and irregular shaped.

Stem: Thin and fibruous, 1cm wide. Slight reddish base.

Cap: Light pink/brown (caucasian skin colour). Cap wavy and smooth. 5-10 cm in diameter.

Spore print color: ocher-dirty yellow

Bruising: When stem was cut, one side bruised blue, otherwise no bruising

Smell: pleasant fruity smell

Location: Western EU

#4 : Leccinum sp? Birch bolete?

Habitat: Mixed woods (Birch/Oak/Fir), found growing from the ground close to oak.

Tubes: very small, whitish. No real stain when bruising.

Stem: Long and quite on the thin side, 1.5 cm wide. Black thin reticulation all along the stem. But needs scabers to be Leccinum right?

Cap: Leather Brown to dark brown, smooth, 10-15 cm in diameter.

Spore print color: cinnamon brown

Bruising: No bruising whatsoever

Smell: no apparent smell

Location: Western EU

#5: Leccinum sp. Birch bolete

Habitat: Mixed woods, found growing from the ground near fir/birch.

Tubes: very small and white. Got a grey-brown color with age from taking spore print.

Stem: Whitish with scabers. Bulbous at the base, 2-4cm wide.

Cap: Leather brown to dark brown. Smooth. 10-15cm in diameter.

Spore print color: cinnamon brown

Bruising: No color change whatsoever

Smell: no apparant smell

Location: Western EU

I have no clue at all about #1 and #3. I m pretty sure about the B. Badius and #5 the Leccinum sp. but confirmation would be welcome.

As for four, its in all the ways similar to #5 except the reticulation instead of scabers.. Any ideas?

Thanks

Your unknown Leccinum might be L. cyaneobasileucum, with that staining.

B. badius looks close for 2.

4 & 5 you can probably group into L. scabrum but a TI might see useful distinctions.

Was 3 definitely from conifers?
