Awkward silence

So last night I met up with a girl and her friends at a local football game. All was fine for a while you know the normal cnversations and such but then the game ended and we all went to a house to hangout and smoke a few bowls. Heres where the problem is... Well I feel like whenever I get baked I choke up or I just dont talk half as much as sober me does. I normally would think it was all in my head but one of her friends kept saying how there was an awkward silence which in turn I think only makes it more awkward. What do you think is the problem? Is mary jane throwing off my game?

I'd recommend holding off if you're trying to get with her.

Well for the most part when I hang with her and her friends I always head in sober but they always end up offering me some bud. I feel like I struggle holding conversations anyway and I always get tongue tied. Makes me feel like they think im a loser or weirdo =\

Just reply that there is no awkward silence between stoners.

Everyone knows when you get high you sometimes don't want to talk as much.  Sure, some people talk more but when you get REALLY baked most people just like to relax completely. 
That "awkward" silence is only awkward if you think its awkward.

See thats the funny thing is that we were watching a movie and I was all into the movie and then her friend said how it was so quite and stuff. I didnt feel awkward at all but I never do I relax and enjoy being high...but maybe thats my problem. I really like this girl alot but I feel like last night was a flop for me.
