Mycobag method.

I'm going to be order a Mycobag very soon, and also a Psilocybe cubensis B+ spore syringe.

I'm going to sterilize the syringe, and inject it into the Mycobag.
But how many hours of lighting does it need?

Could I colonize jars and crumble them onto dark rich soil in a forest and lay some dirt on it and mist it?

Naw, I'm going to use a lighter to sterilize it.

Yeah you could crumble it... but put it on top of the soil, dont bury it. Then cover slightly with dry leaves or grass clippings or just a little mulch..just enough to cover it. It has to breath, and make sure its in some shady place like under tree to where it gets some light but not full sun..or it will cook em. Just water like once in the morning and the days sun evaporate the water as to keep its moisture up.

You have a ways to go before that though, first step is to get that baby colonized without getting contamination first. Good luck!

I was also thinking about ordering a mycobag, injecting the spores, and then letting them sit for a few days. And then finding a cfl light and a small heater. Is there a way to restore moisture to a mycobag?

The lows are a little low..but they will fruit in 65 degree weather. Its not important how the weather is now...its important how the weather is in a month when your jar/jars/mycobag/s are ready. It will take about a month for full colonization.

Your moving into winter soon and growing outside where your at is not advisible..i dont even think its possible. Just fruit inside the bag after it gets colonized!! thats your best bet. That way its not outside at all! When your bag is fully colonized, poke tiny needle size holes in the top of the bag, and just close the flap at the very top(dont roll it down onto the substrate. Then mist once a day and put it near a window so it can get light..any light will do, Even in a closet or drawer with one of those round push on/off lights.
