I don t think  video games are directly responsible, but they no doubt play a part as a dominant aspect of modern creative/artistic expression, the various mediums no doubt influence one another.

Me too. I am definitely not a fan of dubstep although I am a video game addict.

Video game music sounds nothing like dubstep to me.

Aren't video games much more popular than electronic dub/downtempo/DNB/house/etc?

aren't video games now unable to touch on what influence they gave artists in the past to do electronic music?

i would say that's my opinion... :yesnod:

I guess it's difficult to quantitate how popular something is.  I don't see the mass appeal of dubstep like I do video games.  It's not on the typical measures of mass popularity (billboard album charts, album sales, etc.).

I'm sure I'm missing something.

i wish dubstep was a figment of my imagination.

maybe then there wouldn't be this confusion about what it's equivalent to... which is nothing.

dubstep is clearly a jerk of the chain of dub.

it is so much more than just dub my friend

EDM is so many types of music

to throw yourself on the dance floor saying you loves "DUBSTEP ONLY" you're probably an asshat.

i said that dubstep (i am hating that word more and more now) is from dub... not EDM.

EDM has... everything from world music... to disco... to... dude you misconstrued what i said. <3 Electronica

oh and clearly... the production of dubstep is queermo.. and by that i mean.... bad.

i mean like... wtf are these people thinking bad... like all those womps and shit... all blocking out the meldey that's trying to come through!1 faggot-ass production!111111
