In a statement, Hastings said, "At long last, all of these witnesses are coming forward to say that, as unbelievable as it may seem to some, UFOs have long monitored and sometimes tampered with our nukes."

Hastings' co-host for the news conference, ICBM launch officer Capt. Robert Salas, was witness to a UFO incident in 1967 that, he says, caused a missile disruption at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana, and he was ordered to keep quiet about it.

"The Air Force is lying about the national security implications of unidentified aerial objects at nuclear bases, and we can prove it," Salas said.

Another officer scheduled to appear at Monday's conference, Col. Charles Halt, witnessed a disc-shaped object shooting beams of light onto the joint Anglo/American RAF Bentwaters airbase in England in 1980. The lights were reportedly near the base's nuclear weapons storage area.

"I believe that the security services of both the United States and the United Kingdom have attempted -- both then and now -- to subvert the significance of what occurred at RAF Bentwaters by the use of well-practiced methods of disinformation."

They (whoever or whatever) take a big interest in nuclear weapons.

At malstrom UFOs shut down the nuclear weapons even though they all have independant electronics.

At bentwaters, UK UFOs were report to be firing laser beams at the base and that base was also a nuclear weapons storage facility.

And there was that guy that reported a UFO that took out a dummy warhead that was being test fired.

Don't think they like us trying trying to blow the planet up.  It would be cool if aliens stopped a real nuclear war then again UFO's have been blamed for almost starting one before!

I watched a program or two about the Bentwaters incident, and the amount of evidence is just quite shocking. The UFO was actually a regular it did not happen just one night. I believe some of the security team actually went out and located the thing in the woods and claim even to have touched it. You could say this testimony was just a hoax but contact was confirmed on radar, which I think cannot really be explained away easily.

Another case is a supposed hotspot of UFOs around long Island around Brookhaven national labs who have a reactor but also a particle collider. There is also a clamed UFO crash and cover up there too not sure, how that story goes, as I do not know much about it.

I did hear a theory that I liked and suggested that nuclear weapons or power stations laboratories or whatever emit something track-able to extraterrestrials. One has to wonder if these sighting are real extraterrestrials and there just coming past to investigate and are attracted to these areas.

I enjoy Ufology way too much ^^ :grin:

i don't have any evidence to back this up so i don't expect any of you to believe/care but...

my grandpa is a retired lieutenant colonel in the air force from that time, and he's told me stories about one morning when the officer of the day where he was stationed saw a cigar shaped UFO at their base.  sounds very similar to what this guy is saying.
