So if Amanita muscaria was used to kill flies. How do the maggots of flies survive eating A. Muscaria?

I don't think it was ever used to kill them. I believe they used it to stupefy the house flies so that they are easier to kill. It's easier to kill an intoxicated fly than it is to kill a sober one. :smile:

They were used to kill house flies.The maggots found in shrooms are different kinds of flies and other insects.
