Everyone and anyone in Gainesville who I haven?t talked to already please PM me for discussion... Anyways, can someone help me and tell me how to kill ALL the maggots thats I am getting in my shrooms. I have been told to just set them gill down to dry and the maggots should fall out. But for a few shrooms this hasn?t happend and they turned black and shriveled up to almost nothing (they are being eaten by the fucking maggots). I tried soaking them in water to drown the fuckers but is there an easier way??? As you can see in the one on the left here....

Boil them on a low boil for 10 minutes or so, lid on, and then drink the tea, after straining it thru a coffee filter. You do lose some potency but I have never had a complaint. Lemonade works well for a mixer to kill the taste.

You need to have het on the mushrooms like when drying. Maybe in the direct sublight. Then and fruit fly larvaes shrivel up and die. Then you an continue drying them. I have post images her eof giant cubensis from Thailand which the worms completely devoured overnight becasue there was no air cirulation to help in drying.
Insects such as large water bugs (Giant Cockroaches) also love cubensis as do mice3 and rats and squirrels.. Even Cows devour them in the field when eating grass.
As for the worms, they are protein. They wiill not hurt you at all. As I mentioned they hatch in the manure and then work their way up the hollow stem to eat the cap of the shroom. Then they are buzzed like a cat in heat.
