I remember that episode. The myth was would it be pulled out in an MRI or something like that. Nothing about the privacy or hackability of the actual chip

right but now you're got 20k people out there hacking the shit because of
DEFCON, pick up an issue of 2600 mag and you'll see an article RFID hacks
and exploits, every issue I've seen for 2 years seems to have one

had mythbusters not been part of a larger corporation that has to deal
with the lawsuits when everyone and their brother is given the means to
spoof this shit, it's no wonder why they 'cant' do the episode

man, there's a lot of hate for the mythbusters out there, and i'm not saying it's a particularly good show

but adam savage seems like a really fucking cool guy

Its a great show. Definitely one of the best out there compared to the garbage on tv these days. Adam seems cool and down to earth. Jamie seems like once you get to know him, hes probably a tight ass. The kinda guy that doesnt go out for drinks after a taping or anything. He just goes home to argue with his wife about everything, goes to bed at 10 sharp and wakes up at dawn...

hahaha yeah i get pretty much exactly the same vibe from that guy

in terms of science & experimental method, mythbusters leaves a lot to be desired, and frankly i think they've kind of run out of ideas, but i'm still with you on the fact that it beats the s**t out of most of the other garbage on TV
