Hotels in New Orleans for cheap

I'm going to be staying in New Orleans at the end of september for 4 days. Any hotel recommendations? The hotel only requires two characteristics - cheap and safe. Let me know what's up.

The O'keefe plaza hotel is wassup man. Best location and value IMO. I had the best weekend of my entire life there and you can smoke bowls in the rooms.
