Chicken poo

I've looked in the search engine and only find stuff dated back 7 years ago.Is it not good to use this,can I mix some with potting soil as a bulk substrate to put with my staw?It's chiken poo compost,if I can use it out doors or how ever to get rid of it,what should be the mixing ratio?Help me out guys,I asked a question a week ago and no 1 answered it at all,am I asking dumb shit or what.Guess that's what happens when you support a web site you like:(

Don't use potting soil as a substrate. If you need a "filler" use vermiculite.

I've personally never used chicken poo, but I've seen plenty of threads on it.

Here is the information that I have gathered.

Aged Chicken poo is fantastic but only add it up to 5% of your bulk sub.

If you need a bulk substrate go to your local pet store, to the reptile section.
They will have "bedding" that is sold in bricks, its coir. It makes a great bulk
and will probably have fantastic results with the 5% chicken poo.

sounds great,my friends just happen to get some coir today.Thanks man!For some reason I thought people were using coir for casing not substrate,damn I'm learning more as I go.Alot of the stuff in the search engines,people are always arguing that their method works better than something else,it's makes it hard to pick out the right choices from the wrong ones.The search engine should take you to the Mushroom Cultivators answers so we can get accurate info.Just my 2 cents

Coir should not be used as a casing layer anymore.  It has been found to be to nutritious.  Bulk substrate can be any combo of poo/coir/straw/verm.  Casing layers are usually verm/peat moss

Use the chicken manure in small amounts. Like less than 3%.

It can.

Do a search then click main search page. Check the box for TC.

Sorted.

Also when doing multi words in one search put a + in front of each word that you want it to have. IE

Make spore print should be " +make +spore +print"

If you want a broader search leave the + off of the word that you dont require.

Saves me loads of time looking for stuff.

Also know that you can sort results by date.

Try using the correct term, chicken manure, and you'll get better results.  Ditto for use when searching cow, llama, horse, etc.
