A good haul of edibles

Calvatia cyathiformis




Some puffballs, chanterelles, and a boletus. I was very surprised at how much i liked the puffballs, definitely a new favorite.

I threw em all in a vegatable stir fry with homegrown butternut squash, potatoes, and snap peas seasoned with fresh basil and something else i cant recall. I should of prepared the chanterelles seperately. But the puffballs soaked up ALL of those flavors but not so much that you couldnt taste its flavor. And the texture is amazing, sort of like a marshmellow thats not sticky and melts in your mouth.

Thanks guys! Whats awesome is those chanterelles grow right by my field for hunting actives.
