Ingrown hairs/cysts on scrotum advice

I have had these for a while now, some of them have popped and healed while others haven't, and I seem to be getting more of them recently.

I saw a doctor about them, he told me that they are harmless but cannot be removed due to risk of infection.  But I have read several times on the internet that they can be removed by a doctor or dermatologist.

So basically just wanting to know if anyone has had these and if you got them removed.

I had one for a couple of weeks. I got some tweezers and plucked out the ingrown hair. The inflammation has gone down each day, and I have no pain. I just made sure to put some Isopropyl Alcohol to avoid infection.

If it's filled with pus and drains though, you have to go to the doctor to get it removed. I had one of those once, and the doc cuts and drains it fully. That is a last resort though.

Yeh well it's filled with pus so I can't actually see the hair.
